Data We Collect

SmartFinds records limited technical and usage information needed to run and improve the service. This may include page requests, timestamps, browser or device signals, referring pages, product click events, affiliate redirect events, and whether an image or link failed. If you contact us, we receive the information included in your message.

When the SmartFinds owner connects a Pinterest account, Pinterest provides OAuth authorization data such as access and refresh tokens, approved scopes, token expiration information, basic authorized-account information, and boards available to that account. SmartFinds does not ask public website visitors to connect their Pinterest accounts.

How We Use Data

We use this information to operate SmartFinds, improve product discovery and recommendations, measure product and affiliate-link activity, monitor broken links and images, respond to support requests, and comply with Amazon Associates, Pinterest API, and other applicable platform requirements.

Pinterest OAuth and API Data

Pinterest access is used only to connect the Pinterest account authorized by the SmartFinds owner and to read authorized account and board information or publish and manage Pins within the permissions approved during OAuth. Pin creation and publishing actions use products selected through the SmartFinds review queue.

SmartFinds does not sell Pinterest user data and does not use Pinterest data for unrelated advertising. Pinterest tokens and account data are not displayed on public pages.

Data Protection and Security

OAuth access tokens, refresh tokens, API credentials, and application secrets are stored server-side and are not intentionally exposed in public pages or client-side code. Public SmartFinds pages use HTTPS. Administrative access is limited to the app owner or authorized administrators. Application logs are designed to record status and troubleshooting details without storing sensitive token values. Operational backups are protected from public web access.

Data Retention

Product click and affiliate redirect logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed for analytics, troubleshooting, and compliance. Pinterest OAuth and token records are kept only while the Pinterest connection is active or as needed to complete disconnection and security procedures. Scheduler and posting logs are kept only as needed for debugging, operational history, and compliance. Backups are retained for a limited operational period and are replaced or removed as they are no longer needed.

Data Deletion and Your Choices

You may request access to or deletion of information you provided by emailing smart.findslab26@gmail.com. The authorized Pinterest account owner may disconnect SmartFinds from the app controls and may also revoke access in Pinterest account settings. After disconnection or a verified deletion request, associated OAuth records are removed or allowed to expire except where limited records must be retained for security, legal, or compliance purposes.

Third-Party Services

SmartFinds uses Amazon Associates for retailer and affiliate links, the Pinterest API for authorized Pinterest features, hosting infrastructure to operate the website, and image or media hosting services such as Cloudinary when configured. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. SmartFinds uses its own limited application logs and analytics rather than placing sensitive Pinterest credentials in third-party analytics.
